You are right. The Catholic Church has stood against this issue for a long time. They are not going to be changing now!

The RSM plans to throw ashes at the Pope, because "ashes are an ancient and appropriate greeting for a sinner who has caused the Church so much division and pain," stated the movement.

What, goobers! It isn't the POPE who's causing division and pain. He simply states what the Church has always taught about sexual sin. The problems are caused by those who want the Church to change her two thousand years of teachings to accommodate their own sinful lifestyles.

Aside from the recent apostasy of some heretical groups there is NOTHING in Judeo-Christian history that even remotely suggests that practicing homosexuality is anything but sinful.

This will be a very scary demonstration. My sympathies to the faithful Catholics and non-Catholic Christians who are near them when this happens.

Yep, if they want to go and start their own Sodomite religion nobody is going to stop them.

Exactly, the Pope does not willy-nilly make up doctrine based on pressure from special interest groups. Whether it’s gays, feminists, priests against celibacy, whatever, they don’t seem to understand the Pope cannot change these doctrines. The Church is not a man-made institution, it was founded by Christ and its teachings are revealed via scripture and the magisterium. These moral teachings are a gift from God for the benefit of mankind.

"We are a community of Catholic GLBT along with our allies who work for change in the Church. To continue to hide our identity only enables shame and homophobia. We are committed to working from within the Church," says the movement.

If these folks do not believe in Catholicism, how on earth can they believe they are Catholic? Got a clue for you anti-Catholic Christophobes. When was the last time ANY other group, formed or unformed, like, oh I don't know, divorced people, stated they were Catholic and would protest the Churches position and doctrine on remarriage without annulment? If you do not believe in Catholicism, YOU ARE NOT CATHOLIC anymore. Protest all you want, you are not THAT SPECIAL that a Church is going to rewrite thousands of year of teaching and the Bible, just for you!

I guess they are more confused about more things than I thought. You can’t call yourself Catholic and break the tenants of the church. They would be ex Catholic’s who seem to need a lot of attention. If someone next to me was blowing a whistle while I was trying to hear the Pope they might have just a little bit of a problem after I tried to make them swallow it. *Not a threat incase they are reading just what I’d feel like doing*

Just have the entire crowd of spectators start singing “Oh Holy Queen Enthroned on High.”

That should drown it out. If you get the word out, everyone going will pick up the hymn.

These folks are a living example of what happens when someone places themselves ahead of God (although there are many other examples of behavior which can be listed as examples of this).

To be so focused on the self (especially in this case, the pleasure given to oneself upon committing certain acts) and worshipping this in place of God is a serious offense, which leads to all manner of irrational behavior.

Our objective is to pray for them, so that they will, in time, come to love God, place Him at the center of their lives as all good Christians should, and if they do that, they should, in time, adapt their lives to become true followers of Christ. But it is going to take a lot of praying on the part of the faithful, so we must not be lacking in this duty to God.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they ... Forget it, I say kick their asses.

I think the halbrds are for crowd control. When the Holy Father is in danger they use the modern stuff.

Sort of history in action. I think that a Swiss Guardsmen, with a good swing could chop a man in half.
