WASHINGTON (AFP) - Barack Obama's White House campaign lashed out in fury Tuesday after a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter attributed his stunning march through US politics to his race.
Obama aide Susan Rice called for Clinton to fire Geraldine Ferraro, the only woman yet to run on a major party's presidential ticket, after her comments Friday to a Los Angeles newspaper.
"That's a really outrageous and offensive comment," Rice said on MSNBC television after Ferraro, who sits on Clinton's finance committee, had said: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position."

Ha! Maybe they can take turns demanding each side fire aides until all are gone! What a bunch of schmucks!
In about another month, John McCain will be running against a smoldering pile of ashes. These idiots would rather burn each other to the ground (and 1/2 the country w/them), than concede a point.
Note to Hillary and Obama, please don't stop!!!
I read an article about how McCain is trying to figure out how to get “back” into the media spotlight with all the dem fighting..
I remember something my dad told me a long time ago..”son, when your enemies are in the middle of killing each other, stay the he*l out of the way”..
If I were McCain, I’d sit back, be real quiet but be making LOTS of notes..
race pimps always do, this is going to be racism against sexism. Liberals are going to lose in the end
AFP is Agence France Presse. AP is the Associated Press. Not the same thing.
Pot meet kettle. Was Geri the Democrat most qualified to run for VP in 1984? Would she have been selected by Mondale if not for her gender?

And what do we end up with? John McCain. Yippie! </sarc>
Seems like a lot of work for nothing, kind of like shooting out all the light bulbs, when you know the sun is going to set anyway.
Obamaniacs can’t have it both ways. Either he is a post-racial transformational candidate, and they must ignore quips like Ferraro’s, or he is “The Black Candidate” for whom such phony outrage is to be expected.
Susan E. Rice once served under President Clinton, then on to support the loser Kerry, now in the Boma camp. She was NSC connected with Sandy Burger. On leave now from the Brooking Inst.

Great, but it’s too bad they can’t take McLame with them. He is, bascially, one of them, after all.
You know this is just so much fun. When ever a repub would say something that dems didn’t like such as, “I hope you all have a merry Christmas!”
They would immediatley demand his resignation because it was so upsetting and out of the mainstream.
Now those chickens are coming back to roost!
They are used to the pampered prince treatment and don't seem to handle any other than that very well.
The poster put AP.
Hitlery better be careful, the victim card can work in reverse too.
Thank you for the update. I thought she might be dead. I didn’t realize that she was alive and well and living off of old political favors. I really have to pay more attention...:)
Foolish move - David Brooks said the same Friday, that if BO gets down and dirty after saying he will not do business the old way, he will crash and burn.

If David Brooks told me the sun was out, I reach for my umbrella.
Ending up with Clinton and Obama.
While I'm not crazy about McCain, I'll take him over any Democrat.
According to the American Conservative Union's congressional voting rankings, Obama has one of the worst voting record on conservative issues in Congress at ~8%, and Clinton is right behind him with ~9%.
McCain scored about 82% on the same scale. Is he perfect? No. Is he better than either of them? Hell yes. Plus, he has far more experience than both of them combined. He's simply a far better choice than either, or God forbid, both of them.
If you think we can let them win now, and then ride some "backlash" into victory the next time, you're sorely mistaken. The last time they had control, it took almost 50 years to get it back (then we lost it, but that's another story). I firmly believe that this country (and the world) will not survive either of these Democrats in the White House for four to eight years.
Sure he has compromised on some of “our” issues, but if you don't vote for him, you are voting for them. Suck it up. Sorry your “guy” didn't make it (whomever that that was), but that's politics.
