Milwaukee police said it's one of the safest areas in the city... I sure wouldn't want to be walking around down there -- or having one of my kids walking around there. Nearly 20 years ago my neighbor's daughter transferred from Marquette to Santa Clara in CA after one year because of all the pan handling and creeps hanging around campus. And Fr. DiLulio wanted to close Wisconsin Ave. to make Marquette Plaza. Of course the town pols ran him out of town over that.
