One might call it Shakespearian if there were a shred of nobleness in the story of Eliot Spitzer's fall. There is none. Governor Spitzer, who made his career by specializing in not just the prosecution, but the ruin, of other men, is himself almost certainly ruined.
Mr. Spitzer's brief statement yesterday about a "private matter" surely involves what are widely reported to be his activities with an expensive prostitution ring discovered by the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York. Those who believe Eliot Spitzer is getting his just desserts may be entitled to that view, but it misses the greater lesson for our politics.
Mr. Spitzer coasted into the Governorship on the wings of a reputation as a "tough" public prosecutor. Mr. Spitzer, though, was no emperor. He had not merely arrogated to himself the powers he held and used with such aggression. He was elected.

Rise was taking advantage of Wall Street Scandals after the Internet Bubble Crash and VOTER FRAUD and Dad’s Money to trash the Republican Attorney General.
Fall was the movement of money.
Limbaugh thought if he could move $9,999 he would be OK. Banks are too stupid to notice shi* like that.
Spitzer thought, 2,000-3,000 dollar movement on frequent basis would never be pop up on Bank’s radar.
Follow the Money! One thing FBI and CIA know well is that root of all evil can be traced by suspicious movement of monies.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
You’ve got that right. Hardly anything is private anymore and nearly everything can be traced, no matter how much or how little.
And why.........is this front page news? Another jerk, another fall from grace. Who really gives a sh.t.?
The reason is that the people gave Spitzer the authroity to rule over them as Governor and to uphold the laws they all agree to abide by.
This is not a private matter, or is it just about sex.
The people reserve the right to determine to whom they give authority to rule to. When that trust is breached, the lawbreaker has to go.
If you or I did this, it’s our business. When the Governor of the State of NY breaks the law, that affects the entire State.
Overlay the fact that this SOB ruined people with his godlike powers as Attorney General and Governor, the folks in Albany can’t show this clown the door soon enough.
So, now a sex problem, but hey, in real terms it is nothing like what we have already seen.
Hey, leave them boys on Wall Street alone!
Classic case of chickens coming home to roost.
