‘Cause in the other instances the soul is not being sold. Not everything is physical. Why is rape considered such a heinous crime? A woman can get raped with NO physical damage. And yet she is horribly damaged. Why is that? In what way was she violated?
Also, because it makes men absolute terds. Rather than protecting and defending women and children, they pay them to destroy themselves. It’s the worst of a man.
Also, because NO woman does it like any other career choice. Almost uniformly, they do it because:
1. they are addicts and need to get high
2. they were molested as kids and have a psycho sickness to keep punishing themselves
3. they are sexual slaves or victims of pimps.
I am sorry that on a forum as intelligent as Free Republic that I often have to spell these things out for people.
Finally, prostitution destroys families by encouraging and legitimizing fornication and adultery. This damages society at large and children in particular.
A few moments’ thought could have produced these reasons. I know, many would like it to be in the same class as buying a pack of gum from a nice lady. It is not and it can not be.
You keep on making such posts. Unfortunately, too many people in our society do not realize how damaging sex outside marriage is to both parties. They have come to simply accept the low self worth that is an inevitable result, and they can’t connect today’s high incidence of divorce with the lack of sexual morals. In large part, that is simply due to their own hedonism. Prostitution is even worse, for reasons you listed.
Please continue to spell out these things for people. Believe it or not, they really need to be educated about such things, and sometimes they have to see it many times before something in their experience finally makes it “click” for them.

During the call, LEWIS explained to BRENER that the prostitute missed an appointment, and had left a "crazy text" for her last night. LEWIS told BRENER that he might not want to sent the prostitute out any more. BRENER and LEWIS discussed the possibility that the prostitute was on drugs. SUWAL, speaking in the background, commented that there was an "elephant standing in the living room" with respect to the prostitute's actions. BRENER agreed that LEWIS could not do business with the prostitute the way she was acting. [Pimp] LEWIS commented that it seemed that "a lot of these girls deteriorate to this point." (Call 4554R).
