ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month, according to a person briefed on the federal investigation.
The wiretap recording, made during an investigation of a prostitution ring called Emperors Club VIP, captured a man identified as Client 9 on a telephone call confirming plans to have a woman travel from New York to Washington, where he had reserved a room. The person briefed on the case identified Mr. Spitzer as Client 9.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Fox reporting on this makes me puke. E.H. Hill is the biggest shill for the left on that entire station, worse that Jeraldo. You would have thought he had died while saving women and minorities from her long face.

So he was using prostitutes. That should make his wife very happy. And I heard he has three daughters. You would think the father of three girls would realize how horrible a life it is for a girl to be a prostitute. You would think HE would be the last person who would USE a woman in such a degrading way. Would he want his daughters to be hoes?

It will be fun to see what his legal defense on this will be. There is lots of room to dispute exact legal circumstances and semantics. He could also just admit to everything and go into some kind of "rehab" as public pennace. Of course, none of this explains the fact that he was caught.
