**EXCERPT **
WASHINGTON The morning after Senator Barack Obama shook the Clinton campaign by winning five states in one weekend, Senator Hillary Rodham Clintons new campaign manager Maggie Williams, who had taken over in a shake-up the night before assembled the curious if demoralized staff.

Still, interviews with campaign aides, associates and friends suggest that Mrs. Clinton, at least until February, was a detached manager. Juggling the demands of being a candidate, she paid little attention to detail, delegated decisions large and small and deferred to advisers on critical questions. Mrs. Clinton accepted or seemed unaware of the intense factionalism and feuding that often paralyzed her campaign and that prevented her aides from reaching consensus on basic questions like what states to fight in and how to go after Mr. Obama, of Illinois.

For all her years on the public stage, Mrs. Clinton has never come close to assembling and running an enterprise like the 700-person, $170 million-and-counting campaign organization that she has created. At times, her aides made assumptions about tactics and voters that turned out to be wrong. They nearly ran out of money at all the wrong times, like just after Mrs. Clintons victory in the New Hampshire primary and right before the 22 state nominating contests on Feb. 5.

And she wants to be President...
It’s hard to “tarnish” something as dirty as coal.
Her image has nowhere to go but up!
ping
Heaven forbid that the Clinton reputation for honesty, integrity, and clean government should be harmed.
>> She hasnt managed anything as complex as this before; thats the problem with senators,
And we have three of them to choose from.
Aren’t we lucky.
How can something that is ALREADY PURE TARNISH get any more tarnished ???
Polish a turd all your want, but a turd is a turd!
Mrs. Clinton has never come close to assembling and running an enterprise like the 700-person, $170 million-and-counting campaign organization

She was too busy following up on all the emails promising to lengthen her Johnson.
ROTFL!!!
Oh that’s rich. Hillary was stunned to learn that the campaign was broke despite getting weekly emails regarding campaign financial status. LOL And SHE wants to run our country??? This would be hilarious if it weren’t so scary.
I spent a few hours today arguing with people on a blog at ABC. Man oh man...some of these people, who claim to have advanced degrees, just sound like they’re completely incapable of logical analysis. When presented with facts they start making one excuse after another. One of them thought Christopher Hitchens is a conservative and the only reason he says negative things about Hillary is that he’s afraid of strong women. LOL
I just know they’d come up with excuses about Hillary being unable to manage her own campaign.
But I get what you mean.
Hey, I'm a voting for Billary... or no one else is!
It's like Dorian Grey bringing up from the basement his portrait. Thanks to the blogosphere, and media other than the NY Times, people are seeing the real Hillary. And they don't like he, she, it.
Of course, the same thing is happening to the NY Times itself. And people don't like what they see there, either.
Congressman Billybob
After winning 3 primaries last week after Obama winning 12 in a row, Mrs. Inevitability says, "I'm just warming up".
If it takes this long plus the 35 years she has put in getting prepared for her coronation, er ah, two of those years she was looking really hard for her Rose Law Billing Records, and she brags on and on about "being ready on day one"?
Gee. I wonder how long it would take her to find the phone to answer it if she should get a 3:00 a.m. phone call?
She can't even manage her money? How the heck can she manage the United States of America's treasury? How did Bill and Hillary pay for their two very expensive homes when they left the WH, they were severely in debt?
