Somewhere - I think over on Liestoppers - a poster mentioned a posible reason the guy in the front seat is not hiding his face. He may be a juvenile member of a gang and the guy in the back seat is the real murderer. As part of initiation to the gang he takes the rap for the murder but being under 18 he gets tried as a juvenile and is out in a couple of years.

Also of interest, she apparently was abducted hours before she was killed. Oh God, I hope that isn’t true.

Unlikely. Unless this guy is thirteen (and he doesn't look like it) he's getting charged as an adult.

“Oh God”, why does that matter? She was murdered. She’s dead. I think she was murdered because she is white—unless the perps knew her, in which case she was murdered partly out of envy for her being so incredibly popular with students and staff alike. Also in part because she was white.

If you murder a person the way Eve Carson was murdered anywhere south of the Mason/Dixon line, you will be tried as an adult unless you are under 13.

Whoever is convicted of this crime will get life without the possibility of parole. And noone will be taking the weight for anyone else in this scenario once the police are through with the interviews.
