Funny. I have five good friends that are Viet Nam vets. None of them have murdered me or anyone else lately...and all saw some serious combat in two or more tours.
My cousin, and kids of four other friends, plus many ex-co-workers have been in Iraq 2, 3, 4, even 6 tours...no homicides there, either.
*SHRUG*
This guy was a little “off” to begin with, most likely. And having out-processed a few thousand soldiers myself over the span of my military career, believe me, EVERY soldier knows where to go to get the help they need. And EVERY combat soldier has a network of people pulling for him/her and keeping tabs on them post-discharge...they’re not just shown the door.
But, she’s his Mom. Of course she needs to blame someone/something other than her son FOR HIS ACTIONS.
My nephew left boot camp and then Iraq about two and half years ago a depressed, mouthy, lazy brat and came back six months ago a happy man with a purpose. Go figure...
