My thinking was as such. I don’t think they would care one iota if the black plague killed off 100 million chinese. Although knowing how soulless communist rulers can be, maybe that’s what they want...

I believe in 60s they exterminated sparrows (because they ate grains and “reduced” therefore crops) only to have buy them abroad a few years later when insects really reduced the crops.

Sounds like they’re setting themselves up for a return of the Black Plague.Have they ever really gotten rid of it? The southwestern U.S became a reservoir after the Chinese railway workers brought it with them. There's a case every year or so.
