A New Hope (look at Rolling Stone's disgraceful pic of Obama)
Rolling Stone ^ | March 8, 2008 | Jann Wenner

The tides of history are rising higher and faster these days. Read them right and ride them, or be crushed. And then along comes Barack Obama, with the kinds of gifts that appear in politics but once every few generations. There is a sense of dignity, even majesty, about him, and underneath that ease lies a resolute discipline. It's not just that he is eloquent — with that ability to speak both to you and to speak for you — it's that he has a quality of thinking and intellectual and emotional honesty that is extraordinary.

It’s fitting. Liberals aren’t atheist, government is their God and Obama is their Christ figure.

To liberals, April 15th is Easter, Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving with IRS code being the Gospel.

That is Stalinist. All that’s missing are some happy workers.

”We need to recover the spiritual and moral direction that should describe our country and ourselves. We see this in Obama, and we see the promise he represents to bring factions together, to achieve again the unity that drives great change and faces difficult, and inconvenient, truths and peril.

….

Like Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama challenges America to rise up, to do what so many of us long to do: to summon "the better angels of our nature."

This makes me sure that I am going to vote for McCain — if the other option is to sit it out and to let Obama’s starry-eyed fans vote this inexperienced ultra-liberal into the Oval Office. He and his vacant-headed followers are scary.

So was Al Gore and his wife tipper who held congressional hearings to burn rock and roll records. BE AFRAID. These are the evil despots George Orwell warned you about. They are Stalinist Socialists.

Unfortunately, we live in a country populated by a combination of morons and aged children.

You hit the nail on the head.

You know the “Enquirer” does some pretty outrageous pieces, BUT very often there is a least a grain of truth to even the most outrageous. If there is even a “grain” in any of these, it would be enough to sink a Republican. Let's see what it does to a traitorous Dem!

Probably nothing-—Dems have no morals.

WHAT are these birdbrains talking about? I have listened to the man and I have heard nothing that would inspire me to wax so poetic! He expresses himself fairly well, something you SHOULD expect from a lawyer who graduated from an Ivy League university.

Just exactly what is it about this guy that moves jackasses to prose in the vein of Byron? “Tempest in an empty suit” is my impression of the very junior Senator.
