Chapel Hill, N.C. — Police asked for help identifying a man in surveillance pictures whom they want to question in connection with the killing of Eve Carson, 22, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Lt. Kevin Gunter, a spokesman for the Chapel Hill Police Department, called the man a suspect after the press conference Saturday morning. Police Chief Bill Curran described the photos as “the biggest break” and “strongest lead” in the case yet.
Two photographs show a black man in his late teens or early 20s. He is riding in a sport-utility vehicle with a roof rack that might have been Carson's. Officers emphasized they did not definitively know if the vehicle belonged to Carson.

Investigators said Carson, 22, had been shot in the right temple, the Associated Press reported Friday.
There is a $25,000 reward out for those who can help lead to this butcher’s arrest. I bet they will know who he is within the hour.
THat hat with the star? Is that a motorcycle helmet? Anybody seen one of those?
He doesn’t look like a usual street thug to me,,he looks sort of like a kid from a middle class family.
Let’s hope so. Another story about a worthless piece of scum wiping out the life of a person who is full of promise.

We’ll see if this lowlife knew her or it was just a random criminal “HIT”.....he obviously wanted her money = using her ATM card or attempting to do so. A druggie? My bet is yes.
I used to know a Chapel Hill cop. He often said most of their problems come down 15-501. This one probably did as well.

Thanks for the enlarged photo of the hat....Houston Astros? That might help identify the thug. My bet is they have his name in the next hour. My hope is they have HIM by the end of today or tomorrow.
Looks like the gangbanger made her give him the PIN to her ATM card and promised not to kill her.
Once she gave him the number, he shot her in the head and dumped her from the car and then went to the ATM machine to “get paid.”

If he did that he was dumb, I would have given a bad number.
Seems he would have taken her to the atm and made her withdraw. Doesn’t he know about cams at atms? Who doesn’t?
Well the police called is a “ball cap” so I think it is a ball cap like was posted above....not a hard hat.
This is probably just a street thug.
And if is is from Durham - well, let’s just say, I won’t be surprised at all.
If he’s from Chapel Hill - my apologies to Durham.
