Today, I officially left the Republican Party and became a registered Independent. In North Carolina, I can now vote on either the Republican, Democrat or Libertarian primary ballot.

I have no intentions of returning to the GOP until they return to the conservative principles that once ruled the party.

don’t need your vote...NC is Republican territory. Your vote doesn’t matter....

I've considered doing the same thing, but I think that is exactly what they want. Without voices of dissent, the Rockefeller Pubbies, the "National Greatness conservative" whackjobs and the Log Cabiners can maintain control indefinitely.

Did you see who he has brought in to run Victory 08? (Carly Fiorina and others). This sounds like its gonna be another liberal lovefest at the RNC convention, just like 2004 when they headlined Schwarzenegger, Giuliani, and McCain. This cr@p has to be stopped if there is any hope, as it is already paving the way for the Party in 2012 and beyond.
