I know what youre saying. Lets stand firm. Give them this election...and then come back hard in 2012 when the liberals have screwed things up...
Actually, that's not what I said, at all.
I still think we can influence McCain to succeed.
You and I will have to disagree on that one.
Terrorism is the most important thing right now... The economy too...
Terrorism and the economy are definitely important, but those should not be the only focus. I suggest you also look to our sovereignty and independence and add those to the list. McCain, who wants to close Guantanamo and make us subject to international courts, wants waterboarding eliminated, and during his last run said he would rely on a bunch of liberal democrats to help him work on foreign policy is not going to be any kind of saviour on terrorism (nor are hillary/obama). As to the economy, McCain is clueless. His statements have been all over the board about tax cuts ("for the rich"). His advisors are incompetents (Carly Fiorina????). I even saw a youtube video wherein McCain was asked about Bernanke's performance--McCain said he'd like to see interest rates at ZERO! The man has no clue as to what he's talking about--how can he be expected to make proper decisions if he doesn't understand the fundamentals? Add to this his embrace of the marxist driven global warming hoax, and his arrogant position relative to illegal aliens, and you'll see this country move faster to the left and cause more change than under FDR. Call it the McCain NewDealism. No thanks! I want to fight these #%@%#$%#$'s, and with McCain as leader we will only be silenced.
You look at the first 100 days for Obama and Hillary and youre looking at the beginning of the fall of the roman empire...
You look at the first 100 days for McCain and I contend it could easily be worse. (I offer Arnold Schwarzenegger as proof of this contention)
None of us on this forum are totally happy with McCain, but until we get a truly conservative to run, I think we back the republican candidate.
I remember the Carter years vividly. An Obama or Hillary presidency will be ten times worse.
