Obama says he's tired of answering questions about his religion. At a rally in rural Ohio, he was asked again about rumors that he's a Muslim, which have only obscured from public view his real faith, which is no less troubling.
"Here are the simple facts," he half-pleaded with the crowd. "I am a Christian. I am a devout Christian. I have been a member of the same church for 20 years. I pray to Jesus every night. I try to go to church as much as I can."
While impressive, it's where he goes to church that should give American voters pause.
Obama embraced more than Christ when he answered the altar call two decades ago at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Southside Chicago. The 8,000-member church describes itself as "unashamedly black" and holds classes in "African-centered Bible study."
He also pledged to honor something called the "Black Value System," a cultlike code of nonbiblical ethics written by blacks for blacks. It preaches a radically exclusive theology that contradicts the tenets of Christianity.

DROP THIS NOW. Stick with the issues.
His personal judgment is a issue. If you don’t like seeing us discuss it don’t come to this site.
So Obama is a Christian who is tired of answering questions about his religion. Somehow that doesn’t sound right. I’m a Christian and I never tire of telling people about my religion, although a lot of them get tired of hearing about it. I also never try to go to church at all. Either I go or I don’t. You don’t have to go to church to be a Christian, and I’m pretty sure trying to go isn’t going to help, no matter how often somebody does it.
OK, I'm not to smart, what is "HUMA"?
I read that too, but for some reason I do not think she was being honest. Liberalism is her religion and big government is her alter of worship, imho.
Black Liberation Theology is based on Marxist Liberation Theology used in Nicaragua to push soviet communism. It is based on the same double-speak as the “Peoples Liberation Army” of China who mave done the opposite of liberating their citizens unless you consider “liberation” to be death and the ultimate escape from communism.
I feel certain I will get flamed for this, but this is a thought I have had for a long time - when one thinks about all the years the Israelites wandered in the desert, and of the scripture that says “there is a way that seems right unto man but is indeed the way of death” - I have often thought that, horrendous as we humans think slavery was, had it not occurred, how many people would not have been brought to the Lord? How different was it from wandering in the desert? Same thing for the Indians - history focuses on Americans stealing their land, but what is the story about bringing them out of the darkness and into the light? How many came to know God only because we came here?
How do you know????? What do you base this on?
Her female Saudi assistant and rumored bed warmer. harpoll says, “now I understand”!
Huma is Hillary's "personal assistant" who seems always with her
That would be the theory of “The end justifies the means”.
Then again - of all the avenues God could have chosen to restore Mankind’s relationship with Him - he chose the brutal and tortured death of His Only Begotten Son. Not a pretty picture, and yet the end justified His means (not that God needs to justify anything He chooses to do!).
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain true to our native land, the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:
1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.
Hillary claims to be a Methodist. I’ve known that for awhile.
I just googled McCain. He was raised an Episcopalian. Strong family background in that faith.
Currently lists himself as Baptist, and is a member of a Phoenix area Baptist church that is affiliated with the Southern Baptist group.
Thanks for input.
well, I guess I do now. Thanks.
Thank you, PapaBear3625
