NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Republican Sen. John McCain, showing a flash of the temper he is known for, repeatedly cut off a reporter Friday when asked whether he had spoken to Democratic Sen. John Kerry about being his vice president in 2004.

"Everybody knows that I had a private conversation. Everybody knows that, that I had a conversation," McCain told the reporter. "And you know it, too. No. You know it, too. No. You do know. You do know."

McCain showing his true self again... The GOP is really going to regret having him as its nominee.

While I normally think a temper is a bad thing, I really do have a hard time thinking ill of anyone giving the press a hard time.

McCain is his own worst enemy. We’re screwed if he can’t hold it together.

I really don’t know where chewing the press out is a bad thing.

I read the whole thing, and it sounds to me like he stood his ground. They wanna call it "temper" when they flog an issue to madness, and he basically shuts it down?

I think the media is the one with the "temper" problem. Temper tantrums, more like it.

That's not to say ol' "Twitch" doesn't have a short fuse...

It would have only been better had McCain picked up a baseball bat and knocked some sense into the twit reporter.

Well, she did ask him a legitimate question, backed by the 2004 article. He got caught in a fib, and reacted accordingly.

Both parties are having their problems. The net result is that the entire electorate is, by the end of this thing, going to lose confidence in the process of electing a President.

The moonbats and conservatives have lost confidence in their parties - that much is clear.

Wasn't it St. Obama who stormed out on reporters the other day? Good for McCain...I'm glad he blasted the press.
