Another thing that bothers me is that many of us conservatives hate the Clintons and the last thing we want 8 more years of them especially with Hillary at the helm.

It just seemed to me that Rush and Levin were a little too enthusiastic and gleeful in telling us to vote for Hillary Clinton. It seems to me that Rush and Mark Levin don’t hate Hillary Clinton and are not disgusted at the prospect of 8 years of her as president and on TV every day. So why don’t they hate her? Something seems fishy here.

I emailed Rush and let him have it: elrushbo@eibnet.com

If you are a “conservative” talk show host, 8 more years of Billary are money in the bank. Big time ratings. Blue = Green etc.

Your comment reminded me of something:

Many years ago, I heard a sermon in which the pastor was talking about why some people have so much trouble with a particular temptation. The line I remember him saying was the idea that, when it really came down to it, they didn’t hate their sin.

IOW, they wanted to stop it on principle, but deep down they still actually liked whatever it was they got out of it in the first place.

A simple example: a friend who wanted to quit smoking. He tried and tried without success. One day he said he went in his closet to get something and suddenly became totally disgusted with how his clothes smelled. For some reason, that made him hate smoking and he was able to quit cold turkey after that.

There’s something to that and to what you said, I think. It’s almost like Rush et al. have become so numb to what the ‘Toons really mean for our country that they’ve lost their revulsion to them.
