I have a lot of doubt the Republican voters made the difference for Hillary. Of the cross over voters I know, most of them voted for Obama to try and kill off the beast ASAP.

Certainly for Texas I agree. We knew going in that Dem Hispanics were predominately aligned with Clinton so her winning Texas should only be a surprise to those who have not yet had to learn Spanish to conduct business in their home State.

Well, there sure are a lot of folks around here claiming they voted for Hildabeast b/c of the Rush plan.

As for making a difference in the outcome, the thing is that the Rat system is proportional. Therefore, ANY increase in the popular vote could increase the delegates awarded. A candidate didn’t have to win the race to benefit-—and potentially benefit greatly-—from cross-overs.

Plus, for the Witch, it hasn’t been about winning by pledged delegates for a long time. That hasn’t been realistic for a while. What it is about is coming close enough so that she has the cover to win in the smokey back room.

IOW, it was all about the MARGIN of victory/defeat. And EVERY cross-over vote affected the margin.

Here is some of what Hildy got out of her margins:

1. The supers can’t write her off. The planned “intervention” to ask her to quit the race is permanently (!) off.

2. She argues to the supers that only she can win the big states. I.e., Obama is not as electable; Electoral College math supports her even if delegate math supports him.

3. She argues to the DNC that these margins prove that she deserves a re-do in FL and MI. Plus, she argues that since it’s “so close” (again, cross-overs affected how close it is), the supers will have to determine the ticket; since no one wants that, the way out (and politicos are always looking for a way out) is to support re-dos in FL and MI.

4. She argues that if the supers have to decide the ticket, as they do now (recent reports show that NEITHER Obama or Hildy can win through pledged delegates alone now), they should put her on top (because see #1) and force Obama to take the VP slot.

5. The fact that the DNC is now forced to support some sort of re-do in FL and MI gives Hildy much more mo in PA than she would have had. (Again, no way the DNC is supporting re-dos but for Hildy’s margins in TX and OH.)
