Bush did not call Jesus “his favorite philosopher”.
The question Bush was asked was: “Who had the greatest influence on your life.” Bush’s reply was: “Jesus, because HE changed my life.”
And ..
Religion is NOT Christianity. Religion is doing something “religously” without having to, or needing to, know why.
Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus.
BIG DIFFERENCE between the two!!
And as my dad would say, the definition of being a Christian is being a Child of God. Simple as that. :)
