If the saying about "In like a lion, out like a lamb" is true, I'm looking forward to better weather for the March 15 Support the Troops March (In particular, check out Posts 89 and 101) and Walter Reed's 3 Year Anniversary.
Winds were at a constant 20 MPH with gusts up to 35 MPH. Being in the upper 40s there was no real wind chill. But being so windy, none of our banners were put up. I felt naked without the "grassy knoll" behind us full of banners. We did put up the large flags on our flanks and some small flags at the top of the "grassy knoll". At least then I felt like I had my under-rhoos on.
Even the Westminster Freep/Gathering had a windy time of it.
We had several special guests stop by. One guy had picked up a wedding cake and also got a whole box of mini-eclairs. He stopped and gave us the eclairs.

And then Legionnaire Dennis brought a VIP today - The Singing Soldier Bear. Push its paw and it sings.
BELOW LEFT: Legionnaires Halsey and Dennis with the Singing Soldier. BELOW RIGHT: Dennis with Lurker Bill's daughter. Yes, she is back after a long break of birthday parties and being sick. Notice the flags - fully unfurled today.

The full roll call of Patriots (we were back up to our more normal numbers after last week) included Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Frank (Army - Korea), Dennis (Army - Korea), and Lurker Bill and daughter, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, iMacMan,, [Mrs] Trooprally and my self, [Mr] T.
BELOW LEFT: Legionnaires Frank and Halsey. Frank liked the GoE poster so much, we mounted it on foam board, just in time for today's wind. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker's Bill new sign.
BELOW LEFT: [Mrs] T as always, behind the camera. BELOW RIGHT: iMacMan doing what he does best.
BELOW LEFT: Eager with iMacMan, Frank and Halsey in the back ground. FYI - No banners though in back ground. BELOW RIGHT: Cindy_True_Supporter using her sign as a wind break.
The moonbats were barely out today. Can't make too much fun of their numbers this week after our lack numbers last week. But some fun we'll have.
BELOW: Their total numbers. This pic was taken after the banner they tried to hold got blown apart. Just to show the difference in our thinking and theirs, our banners never even made it out of our vehicles.
BELOW: One down early.
BELOW: Now some real fun.
BELOW: But enough of the moonbats. iMacMan is continually improving on his already great pics. This week he has highlighted some of his circles. Also, this week was Doubles Doubles Week.
Who is driving?
BELOW: The Legionnaire Post that 6 of our Patriots this week belong to, honored Cindy_True_Supporter, [Mrs] T and myself with a Certificate of Appreciation. The Certificate is in appreciation of our commitment and support of our Armed Forces. The Certificate even mentioned FRee Republic. Personally, not having ever served and not being able to join the American Legion, I was especially humbled to receive the Certificate from them.

Love these posts. Thank you all for doing what you do. Great pictures.
A person doesn't need to go to the circus and pay money to watch the clowns. They can see them for free at any local anti-war protest.
Congratulations on the recognition. You really do deserve it. Thanks for your steadfastness.
Congrats on the Certificates!
I want one of them thar teddy bears!
Great AAR and awesome pictures taken by Mrs. T. iMacMan does a terrific job capturing those doubles doubles! Cool teddy bear and great new sign that Lurker Bill had. That runaway hat with the captions was hilarious!
Congratulations to you, Mrs. T and Cindy_True_Supporter on the Certificate of Appreciation. It is very well deserved!

Looks like it will be wet in Olney and Westminster today. Lurker Bill and I will be up there so leave us a space, preferably a dry one.

Ok Mr. T. We will leave you and Lurker Bill a very dry space! Thanks, you guys are a great help!
I want a teddy bear, too!
Great AAR and koodos on the awards! You guys deserve the recognition.
I'll have to ask Dennis where his kids got it. It was apparently a B-Day gift.
