Chapel Hill police have identified a woman found dead near the University of North Carolina campus Wednesday morning as the university's student body president.
UNC senior Eve Carson, 22, was found shot multiple times in the head about a half-mile from campus.
Police have also issued a bulletin for Carson's blue 2005 Toyota Highlander with Georgia license plate AIV-6690.

BTW, I am an Auburn grad and the whole Auburn family is simply shocked. I was in school in the 80's and nothing remotely close to this has happened.
Shot probably by a person that had some kind of relationship to her. Generally when injuries are in the head/face it’s a personal thing.
I suppose a strange robber may do it to make it look that way, but I don’t think they’re generally that smart.
This is going to be interesting to see pan out. Chapel Hill is a typical liberal-infested college town, but it has a pretty low crime rate. We’re 10 miles east in Durham (home of Duke) and there’s much more of a crime problem here, but even then you don’t hear much about it affecting the Duke campus.
It’s a very sad and shocking story.

I for one am sick of young coeds getting murdered by serial killers- and young college men ending up being dumped in rivers

Lumberton, N.C. — Depending on a judge’s decision, one of the men who killed basketball superstar Michael Jordan’s father could become eligible for parole.
Authorities scheduled a hearing Thursday in Lumberton for Larry Demery, 32. His attorneys said they want to withdraw his guilty plea and enter a new one.
Talk about poor timing to argue that case!! NC needs to bring back the death penalty. We are quickly becoming East California.
Death and college go hand-in-hand. You never hear about the “almosts”.
