From what I heard this am, it sounded like someone tossed an M-80 from a bicycle.
Used to throw a few of those in my youth.

If that picture in post 26 is the recruiting office then it was not an m-80 that my brother would use to blow up my Barbie dolls with as a kid, nor would it shake a near by building so that someone on the 44th floor would feel it.
