The thing is I was never a Rudy supporter. I was just interested in learning about the candidates’ positions because I didn’t like any of the candidates and I was trying to find the best one. I couldn’t sift through all the disruptive posts, though, to learn anything.
Then wouldn't it make sense to hear both sides of the story? The "disruptors", as you call them, felt Rudy is a liberal (as do I), and pointed out his liberal statements, liberal policies, and liberal stances. Posting pictures of him in drag, while repetitious and tiresome, did point to a sense of the man's character.
Rudy's supporters would get frustrated because they couldn't defend his liberal views. So they tried to redefine conservatism, one of them even saying something along the lines as "abortion and gun rights aren't all that important anymore". If someone posts that on a conservative message board, they should expect to be challenged. You've been here almost 10 years; you know that.
