Not My Shower: Breaking Biological Barriers
Breakpoint with Chuck Colson ^ | 3/5/2008 | Chuck Colson

Posted on 03/05/2008 10:19:26 AM PST by Mr. Silverback

Mary Ann Andree was drying her hair in the Rio Sport and Health Club in Gaithersburg, Maryland, last month when the door to the women’s locker room suddenly opened. In came a man, wearing a blue ruffled skirt and make-up.

As Andree later told reporters, “I was very upset. There is a lot he could have seen.” Andree is far from alone. A lot of other women in Montgomery County, Maryland, are upset over a new law that demands co-ed locker rooms and bathrooms in all public accommodations.

Montgomery County, adjacent to Washington, D.C., passed the law last November to accommodate “transgendered people”—that is, men who perceive themselves to be women, and women who perceive themselves to be men. The law adds gender identity to the list of protected classes to the Montgomery County Code banning discrimination.

In effect, it means men will have full access to a woman’s restroom and locker room. A woman taking a shower after her aerobics class might look up to find a man turning on the shower next to hers. A little girl using a movie theater restroom will now have to worry that a strange man might walk in.

Michelle Turner, who leads a citizens group opposing the law, says, “Any biological male who is willing to wear a dress and who is feeling transgendered at that particular moment can enter the ladies room or locker room.”

And what is to stop non-transgendered men from entering the ladies’ room? Nothing. A child molester or rapist could put on a dress and go right in. So could pornographists. It is an appalling, shocking law. And get this: There is no exemption for religious schools, book stores, churches, and daycares. As Turner notes, “The act will use the force of law to make these organizations accept transgenders, transvestites, and cross-dressers as employees.”

The American Psychiatric Association classifies gender identity disorder as a mental disorder. Supporters of the Montgomery County law refuse to accept this, and they have decided that you and I are not going to be allowed to accept it, either. Dana Beyer, a “transgendered” person employed by the Montgomery County Council, says that if you believe that XY chromosomes and male genitalia make someone male, you are a bigot.

In effect, transgendered persons are demanding that Montgomery County erase the distinctions between males and females. Make no mistake: This is not about the need for co-ed bathrooms. This law is simply being used to normalize gender identity disorder—much in the same way the gay lobby uses laws to normalize homosexuality.

Montgomery County officials passed this law despite the fact that citizens opposed it by an eight-to-one margin. The good news is that concerned citizens have gathered enough signatures to put the issue on the November ballot.

But Montgomery County is not the only jurisdiction passing laws like these. Check out what your own local leaders are doing to protect your privacy rights. And parents, make sure your kids know the difference between the Christian view of sexuality and that being propagated by those who think they ought to be allowed to choose their gender and their bathroom.

It shouldn't be a difficult issue. If you have that certain thingy, use the mens room, if you don't, you can use the ladies room.

I don't want some guy dangling his meat in front of my petite 12 year old when I can't be in there to monitor what's going on.

Some over indulgent male should sue based on discrimination. If you are going to open them then open them to everyone.

Addendum, this law comes from folks who have private bathrooms in their congressional offices. Start using their johns.

Not in Massachusetts. Harvard has imposed “Islamic Women Only” hours at its public gym.

If anyone says anything, just claim to be a woman locked in a mans body.

Better yet, a LESBIAN trapped in a man's body. (which is kind of convenient when you think about it.)

Ultimately, that is the point. The perverts who put forth these changes are aiming for a pansexual society in which they have sexual access to our children and our pets.

When considering such a society, I find myself vacillating between two choices: Winchester or Mossberg.

In all seriousness, I am a tolerant and peaceful man, but anyone who places their hands on my wife or children in such a manner will meet a swift death. I will kill, die or go to prison to prevent them being raped or perverted.

There were people who saw it coming all the way back to the Stonewall riots, but no one listened.

I also have a distant inlaw who, if I have heard correctly, plans to go to Cambodia for a transgender operation.

It’s not my business. He’s a grown adult, and I have only seen him a few times since he was what appeared to be a rather ordinary little boy, when his family came to visit us many years ago.

But I’m afraid I can only think of this in terms of a permanent and irreversible mutilation, not an operation. And I don’t much doubt that the doctors or butchers who perform these “operations” do so mostly for profit.

Last I heard, Johns Hopkins—a liberal place if there ever was one—still refuses to do these procedures. I can well understand why.

Are you saying that a majority of the transsexual “community” believe they have mental issues? I honestly have never heard anyone who identified as a member of that “community” suggest that.

Are you hanging out with a lot of them? I can't say that I am.

Are you actually suggesting that a group of people who must receive treatment from psychiatrists for the results of a brain imbalance are really thinking they don't have a mental disorder? I mean, the problem is called gender dysphoria disorder, IIRC.

that makes sense.

Yep, if you're a liberal. After all, these are the people who believe AIDS is spread by lack of funding.

I don't want some guy dangling his meat in front of my petite 12 year old when I can't be in there to monitor what's going on.

My wife swims at a local rec center, and a few weeks ago she was in there on a day when schools were closed for some reason. As she was getting ready to leave, a mother came in to the locker rooms with her children and one of the children was a boy of about 15. Just as this happened a girl of about twelve or thirteen was coming out of the shower and started screaming when she saw the boy in there.

It is disgusting what people think is appropriate these days.

From my wife: Maybe it’s a way for our oh-so-tolerant Democratic brethren to get all the Muslims out of their county.

Oh my. My wife quit taking our boys into ladies rooms when they were about four IIRC - it’s been a while.

“Something tells me there will be a lot of dirty old men buying dresses and mascara.”

If I lived there, I’d be sure to have an ample supply of pepper spray. Skirt or not, a man is a man and has no business in a woman’s shower or bathroom.

I’m a butch lesbian trapped in a male body.

Therefore I don’t have to dress or act like a woman to use the ladies room. Furthermore, the more overtly masculine I act, the more obvious it is that I really am butch.

If you say, as a butch I should desire to use the men’s room, then that’s discrimination you bigot! /absolutelyunnecessarysarcasmtag

(Partial credit to Rush from some years back. I added the butch part.)

Yep, any boy over the age of four or five who WANTS to go into a public restroom with his mother needs his father to teach him what being a man is all about.
