NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama.
Speaking on the Early Show on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."
Clinton said the race between her and Obama remains "incredibly close," with just "smidgens of difference" between them.
Clinton's remarks after her campaign won two big states yesterday: Ohio and Texas. She also won Rhode Island. The wins enabled her campaign to break Obama's 12-state winning streak and pick up some momentum of its own.
Speaking later on the Early Show, Obama congratulated Clinton on her victories while maintaining he would be able to wrap up the democratic nomination.
"We still have close to an insurmountable lead in delegates," Obama said. Obama said his campaign had won nearly twice as Clinton as well as a greater share of the popular vote.
I've been sick for the past 2 months. Nothing seems to help, with the exception of isolating myself from the internet and TV. Heading to my isolation chamber now. All best.
Bingo. Motivation by ratings. Advertising sponsored entertainment. They are clowns.
where’s the k-y jelly this is going to hurt really bad
Then why are the dhimocrats coming out in record numbers to vote for a woman and a black in the primaries? Because they are energized by their chances of winning in November with either candidate. Meanwhile the GOP has a dhimi wanna-be as their candidate and many conservatives are disheartened and even mad at their stupid choice.
Many poo-pooed Bubba's chances back in 1991, and we paid a dear price for 8 years because we underestimated the dhimi's candidate.
Believe me, I hope you are right, but my experience tells me I see the same overconfidence raising it's head in the GOP ranks while offering a sub-par candidate, as it did back in 1991.
If she is in any position to win the nomination, she will not accept Obama as running mate. (Or if she did, she’d find a way to dump him from the ticket before Inauguration Day.)
I do believe she would accept the #2 spot for herself, but only to position herself to overshadow him and stick pins in his doll. Say what you will about Michelle Obama, I don’t think she would advise Obama to go with that kind of deal.
RIGHT YOU ARE!
But Ill do all I can to ensure a democrat ... aa republican wins in November."
How can either of them choose the other as running mate after all the trash they’ve talked against each other?
All McCain would have to do would be to play back their negative campaigning against each other, and neither he nor his ad people would have to add a word!
Two words, "Voodoo Economics."
Go ahead Hillary. No easier way for you to lose than to have two northern uber-liberals on the same ticket.
I think this has been the plan ever since Sen. Obama started getting some traction.
Once the dance has been decided upon, all that’s left is the choreography.
“They (the talk show hosts) were saying that Obama should be knocked off first because he’s the most difficult to defeat and the most dangerous. Then they would go after Clinton. ...” ~ varon
That does NOT apply to “talk show host” Rush Limbaugh.
On the contrary, the ONLY reason Rush wants to keep Hillary in the race all the way to the convention is because she is the only one who has been willing to go after and “bloody up” Obama. If McCaniac and the RNC had the guts to take Obama on the way she has been doing, and will continue doing in order to win the nomination, Rush would not be advocating keeping her in the race:
“We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically. It’s obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it, they don’t have the stomach for it,” Limbaugh continued. “As you probably know we’re getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying we’re not going to be critical. Mark McKinnon of McCain’s campaign said he’ll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we’re talking about. I want our party to win I want the Democrats to lose. ~ Rush

McCain only beating hillary bu 0.2% 8 months away from an election.
it means nothing
Arkancide : Freepers :: Hemlock : Socrates
Obama would be a FOOL to have Hillary as his VP. He’d be putting his life as the only thing between Hillary and the presidency. Terrible idea.
RE:dream ticket
A nightmare is also a dream.
