Clinton Hints At Sharing Ticket With Obama

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama.

Speaking on the Early Show on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."

Clinton said the race between her and Obama remains "incredibly close," with just "smidgens of difference" between them.

Clinton's remarks after her campaign won two big states yesterday: Ohio and Texas. She also won Rhode Island. The wins enabled her campaign to break Obama's 12-state winning streak and pick up some momentum of its own.

Speaking later on the Early Show, Obama congratulated Clinton on her victories while maintaining he would be able to wrap up the democratic nomination.

"We still have close to an insurmountable lead in delegates," Obama said. Obama said his campaign had won nearly twice as Clinton as well as a greater share of the popular vote.

I’m gonna be sick

I've been sick for the past 2 months. Nothing seems to help, with the exception of isolating myself from the internet and TV. Heading to my isolation chamber now. All best.

Won’t happen. Hillary is just saying this to try and pull a few votes from the remaining delegates that are leaning Obama but would accept him as VP. If it was to be this way then McCain just has to kick back and on occasion throw something out there that pits them against each other.

There are democrats who won’t vote for a woman, and democrats who won’t vote for a black. Put the two together, and it’s insurmountable.

Then why are the dhimocrats coming out in record numbers to vote for a woman and a black in the primaries? Because they are energized by their chances of winning in November with either candidate. Meanwhile the GOP has a dhimi wanna-be as their candidate and many conservatives are disheartened and even mad at their stupid choice.

Many poo-pooed Bubba's chances back in 1991, and we paid a dear price for 8 years because we underestimated the dhimi's candidate.

Believe me, I hope you are right, but my experience tells me I see the same overconfidence raising it's head in the GOP ranks while offering a sub-par candidate, as it did back in 1991.

If she is in any position to win the nomination, she will not accept Obama as running mate. (Or if she did, she’d find a way to dump him from the ticket before Inauguration Day.)

I do believe she would accept the #2 spot for herself, but only to position herself to overshadow him and stick pins in his doll. Say what you will about Michelle Obama, I don’t think she would advise Obama to go with that kind of deal.

The GOP is pursuing it’s own agenda and it obviously doesn’t really care about conservative values. Just look at the ones who are heavily supported by the GOP and the RNC. Specter. Mel Martinez. McCain.
My take is that losing an election or two is chump change to the K street boys.

RIGHT YOU ARE!

How can either of them choose the other as running mate after all the trash they’ve talked against each other?

All McCain would have to do would be to play back their negative campaigning against each other, and neither he nor his ad people would have to add a word!

And they were helped along by the likes of Rush and Hannity. This stupid theory that we want them to be battling until the convention isn’t correct.

The Democrats will be united. Plenty of emotional buttons they can push to energize their factions. They're good at it.

Rush blew this one big time. A golden opportunity to disempower the Clinton political machine was squandered. Very bad call.

Go ahead Hillary. No easier way for you to lose than to have two northern uber-liberals on the same ticket.

I think this has been the plan ever since Sen. Obama started getting some traction.

Once the dance has been decided upon, all that’s left is the choreography.

Here’s my thoughts on how it plays out. Neither Clinton nor Obama gets enough votes but Obama has more than Clinton by about 100 when it goes to convention. Obama ask Clinton to end it but Clinton yells about Florida. Howard Dean decides to seat the Florida delegation and Obama goes into a frenzy then threatens to challenge in court. Dean then ask Obama if he would run second on the ticket and he says,”Allah damn” then Dean ask Clinton if she would and she says,”hell no”. It will then turn to a raging battle between gender and race baiter's, each claiming their destiny is being destroyed by the Democratic party.

“They (the talk show hosts) were saying that Obama should be knocked off first because he’s the most difficult to defeat and the most dangerous. Then they would go after Clinton. ...” ~ varon

That does NOT apply to “talk show host” Rush Limbaugh.

On the contrary, the ONLY reason Rush wants to keep Hillary in the race all the way to the convention is because she is the only one who has been willing to go after and “bloody up” Obama. If McCaniac and the RNC had the guts to take Obama on the way she has been doing, and will continue doing in order to win the nomination, Rush would not be advocating keeping her in the race:

“We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically. It’s obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it, they don’t have the stomach for it,” Limbaugh continued. “As you probably know we’re getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying we’re not going to be critical. Mark McKinnon of McCain’s campaign said he’ll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we’re talking about. I want our party to win I want the Democrats to lose.” ~ Rush

Obama would be a FOOL to have Hillary as his VP. He’d be putting his life as the only thing between Hillary and the presidency. Terrible idea.
