"The Somalis welcomed to Lewiston, Maine by Catholic Charities and Governor Baldacci, are also from this Kenyan Border region, where their traditional pursuits were caravan raiding, goat, cattle, and camel rustling.

These occupations have not taken root in post-industrial Maine. Yet."

LOLs,KB!! Are you sure you haven't noticed anything different lately?

By gum you just scared me. I run out and checked. No, my camels are fine, alhumdoolillah!

Reckon it's been a bit cold for our resident Somalis. What with keepin' 4 wives warm, and circumsizing girl infants, and pickin' up them welfare checks and food stamps, they's pretty busy as it is. Hardly a moment to spare for caravan raiding ... a little light banditry has been about it.

The Desert of Maine hasn't spread too much to come out and greet them, either.
