So basically reloading is illegal and any ammo you have from before this abortion is illegal. I don’t think this goes anywhere. It is pure harrassment and a backdoor attempt to ban firearms by attacking ammo.

I think that signs stating “Gun Free Zone” would work better .... so what’s to be done with the ammunition that’s in peoples possession now????

Should be interesting how they would plan to enforce this crap on muzzleloaders.

Senator Joan Bray

The bill is Anti Gun Boiler Plate Legislation that I think was first tried in California (Without Success). The Senator herself is from St Louis and is the usual urban radical crapbag.

Is this being pushed by the anti-gun crowd or the company that developed the “technology”?

As hard as it might be to believe, the People’s Republic of Maryland just rejected similar legislation. I’m sure it’s only being set aside until after November 4, when the voters fancies have returned to football and Friends reruns.

A similar bill has been introduced in the Arizona Legislature. I don’t think it’ll go far.

Hey, I got a good idea; Why don’t they pass a law that all firearms be equipped with Onstar? Then they can report in every time they are fired, kinda like when the airbag deploys on a car.

Maybe it would be simpler if they just banned firearms./s

Such a thing (whether referring to tagged ammunition or the gun location recorder) might make sense for law-enforcement firearms. Officers are required to report every time their duty weapon is fired for any reason; using coded ammunition and electronic tracking would not only help ensure compliance, but it could also help revolve the sequence of events when cops get involved in a shootout.

Ironically, the only place where these technologies would do some good would be the only one exempted from using them.
