Terrorists Strike in Woodinville

As reported by KING5, terrorists claiming to be from the Earth Liberation Front have burned down empty homes in Woodinville.

I have nothing much to say about this, because the criticism is obvious. I would like to point out that, apart from the obvious fact that this creates pollution and causes even more trees to be cut down, that using trees for houses is actually a good thing for the environment, provided they are older trees: they are mostly full of CO2 and we can cut them down and replace them with new trees that can suck up more CO2. But when you burn down a home, that releases the stored CO2.

Burning down homes is one of the worst things you can do for the environment: far worse than building them in the first place. But terrorists don't really care much for facts.

We need a WA ping that resembles the bat signal, perhaps instead of a bat, it would be an outline of Geo. Washington.
Like the state flag.

These criminal acts will continue, especially in a state that coddles and promotes the druid mentality, until the good people in Washington - mostly on the east side now - rid themselves of those politicians responsible.

I’ve been in a running dialogue on the seattle pi soundoff board. There are some seriously crazy people. They are trying to justify this because “McMansions are BAD”

“burned down empty homes” does not describe very well what really happened this morning, and the cost we are talking about here.

More accuratly titled in the Seattle Times:
“Street of Dreams” destroyed by fire.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/home/index.html

Officials are blaming “domestic terrorism” for fires early today which destroyed three multi-million-dollar homes and damaged two others built as part of last year’s Seattle Street of Dreams in the Maltby area of Snohomish County.

Damage was estimated at $7 million.

Explosive devices were found inside the homes. And nearby, a spray-painted sign bearing the initials of the Earth Liberation Front, challenged builders’ assertion that the homes featured environmentally responsible construction methods.

A KING-5 video showed the sign, which read: “Built Green? Nope black! McMansions in RCDs r not green. ELF” The initials “RCD” refers to “rural cluster development.”

“Kill the bastards.”

I agree. My point would be that until we are able to, as a nation, punish such deeds, we will continue to go down the crapper.

In fact, 1/3 of all threads here on FR carry the same theme of our nation no longer having the collective will to remove the incentive for this type of behavior.

Let me know when the revolution begins.

As the years have gone by I have become more accepting of just putting these types of people out of my misery. There was a Seattle talk-show host a few years ago talking about “life energy”. And how the things that we do, create, etc. - when they are taken or destroyed, they are actually taking/destroying our “life energy”.

A few days ago the trial started for some gal that was complicite in the firebombed and destruction of the University of Washington Agriculture building (new, millions of dollars). It will be interesting to see what her punishment will be.

This is not the first time this type of terrorism has taken place, I find it hard to believe that this developments have not learned enough to have armed guards guarding this properties until completed and occupied, this is the type of situation where Blackwater would be more than effective, they do not have to shoot anybody just open a can of whip_ss.

Or even surveillance camera’s recording cars going in and out of the neighborhood...and on site. Surprised too that the insurance co’s haven’t mandated it as a condition for coverage.

Hmm... think about this idea, and the endless amount of government regulation and taxation we live under...it's invasion of the life force snatchers all over again.

Taxation was a large part of his discussion about our life energy being taken away. Of course SOME of that is returned to us in the form of roads and defense.

I’m thinking it might have been Kirby Wilbur (????) - just a local Seattle station talk show as far as I know.
