Todays America makes life from the 50s and 60s America seem like a church garden party.

Man, I LOVED the 50’s. I lived in the country and I loved it. People were calmer, life, in general, was calmer. It wasn’t perfect but close to it as you can get on earth.

People actually looked out for one another. After “West Side Story” seems the way to deal with conflicts changed. Remember when the worse fight we’d see was with ‘skin’ not weapons?

The 40s and 50s were a great time to grow up. Kids played outdoors all the time, little or no TV to influence their behavior, parents could spank them or discipline them without the gov’t sticking their big noses in, people helped each other, were patriotic, kids could play outdoors, walk uptown, walk in the countryside without being raped or kidnapped. It WAS a great time. We’ll never see it again. Sigh.
