BATTLE OF San Jacinto. SanJac was a CVL Carrier (cvl-30)
with service in PACIFIC THEATRE; Saipan, June, ‘44 to
end of war...GHW Bush was 19yr. old pilot on ship, and
was shot down and rescued by Submarine..think it was
in Sept., ‘44. ** All Carriers in WWll- were named
after a war battle with our Country...think Yorktown was
first one??? Am sure there are better Historians and
Veterans with better memory than me.. ??? JK

We don’t celebrate the Battle Of San Jacinto until 21 April.

However, among the traditional celebrations is throwing a Mexican back across the Rio Grande. You’re welcome to join us.
