It’s a vast left-wing conspiracy against a half-vast part of the left-wing, I tell ya!

Money quote:

“Our democracy depends upon the fourth estate to fulfill the uniquely critical role of informing voters about the important issues facing our nation,” Shorenstein wrote. “Yet far too often, the campaign coverage has been biased, blase, or baseless.”

Who knew??

One of the ironies that goes overlooked (because the ironies themselves are numerous) is that you have Dems admitting there is a bias in the press, in the first place.

For decades we've been told that Republicans have been getting a fair shake.

For decades liberals have ignored or ridiculed the same reports showing media bias against the Repubs. Now that their ox is being gored, these reports are accurate and they whine about it.

A great example of media bias in favor of the Clintons was when BJ vetoed the ban on partial-birth abortions.

The media dutifully reported that their hero had vetoed the bill because “it did not protect the life of the mother.”

A complete lie because the bill did so protect the mom’s life, but not her “health” which can mean anything, including “depression.”

"Our democracy depends upon the fourth estate to fulfill the uniquely critical role of informing voters about the important issues facing our nation," Shorenstein wrote. "Yet far too often, the campaign coverage has been biased, blase, or baseless."

He surfaces only when "his" candidate is affected. How about the media coverage of the entire spectrum of what is important on every single issue, particularly for the last 7 years. Not one peep out of this guy.

Ask Dubya about media bias.

Or Karl Rove, or pretty much any Republican. But that doesn't bother Shorenstein. Just don't be unfair to a Clinton.

I hope Hillary gets her revenge on the media by destroying Obama.

It will be while he’s running against McCain in the general election, but that will just make it more fun!
