Eamon Kelley, the young Marine who is featured in Move America Forward's TV commercial that ran on Fox News earlier this week, spent his day today in Berkeley, Calif. in front of the Marine recruiting offices. Another national/local ad blitz begins on Monday. Meanwhile, CodePink has set up a virtual blockade at the recruiting center, expanding it's efforts to harass our troops and turn back young Americans looking to enlist. (The Berkeley City Council stubbornly refuses to apologize and continues subsidizing free parking for CodePink efforts to drive our soldiers out of town.) Eamon, who is recovering from back surgery, gutted it out under blazing skies in the boycotted town. He sent me this e-mail after spending four hours there. Titter Meter: HIGH. "While we were at the protest in Berkeley from 12 to 4 PM a white volvo drove by and a man spat upon code pink. They chased him down the street and got into a verbal altercation. The police were NO WHERE in sight. That's not the best part, ready for this? Medea Benjamin yelled and I quote "Marines!" she actually yelled for our help because this man had stepped out of his car. Lol. I even asked her if she was yelling Police and she told me "I said Marines" then put her arm around my friend Allen (the Marine vet) Ironic? Ok back to the emails!! " Speaking of e-mails, Eamon has recieved hundreds and hundreds of letters of support from Americans all across the country after he was featured in my WorldNetDaily.com a couple of weeks ago, and the blogging from so many people, including Michelle Malkin, Pat Dollard, Spree at WakeUpAmerica, EaglesUp, Gathering of Eagles, Canada Free Press and dozens more. The e-mails are continuing to pour in, and Eamon has promised himself that he is going to respond to all of you people who have written to him. P.S. I am scheduled to appear on The Fox News Network with Bill O'Reilly at 6:00 p.m. EST tomorrow 2/28/08 to discuss the latest developments, including the attacks on other recruiting centers around America, plus a grassroots efforts to boycott Berkeley that is blooming across the country. |

Great Ad!
Thanks for posting and Thank you for your support.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
Isn’t the recruiting office federal and isn’t it a felony to obstruct?
They will probably get a pass. Sick, ain't it?
What is the status of the Sempre Fi Act of 2008?
Ugh, I just cannot help but feel a seething hatred for this sub-creature, Medea Benjamin. I hope to see a day where she faces appropriate consequences for her actions.
Jim DeMint has not given up. Hes doing an end run around the anonymous hold and adding it as an amendment to another bill.Well, 3.5 Bil is hardly enough for that project! And the classic response, so far, of Senators offices seems to be, Well, we cant tell you if our Senator placed the hold because thats why its anonymous.
They really do think we work for them. And if they are permitted to get away with this - then maybe theyre right.
And:
One Berkeley earmark provides $243,000 in taxpayer dollars for the organization Chez Panisse to create gourmet organic school lunches in the Berkeley School District. Another earmark would spend $975,000 in taxpayer dollars for the University of California, to create a new endowment and cataloging the papers of Congressman Robert Matsui. U.C. Berkeley already has a $3.5 billion endowment.
I think it is still being stalled.
Along with seeing you and the other FReepers, it was great meeting Eamon in person during the counter FReep in Berkeley. At the time I knew nothing of his injury or his story. He walks tall!
Who’s the sharp looking guy sitting left of Eamon in the picture? (grin)
The petition
We, the undersigned condemn the Berkeley City Councils treasonous attack on US Marine Recruiters stationed in their city. We ask that Congress cut off funds from any and all municipal entity within the confines of the city of Berkeley, California, until such time as the city council withdraws its action.
The City Council has voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests.
The measure passed last week by a vote of 8-1.
The council also voted to explore enforcing a city anti-discrimination law, focusing on the militarys dont ask, dont tell policy.
In a separate item, the council voted, also 8-1, to give the Marxist protest group Code Pink a parking space in front of the recruiting office once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week.

Yep
PING
I thought it might be. I don’t think people realize; unless you are a lawyer or a crook that if you commit a federal felony the jail terms are much longer and you will most likely be serving most if not all of it. It’s not like state.
Let’s see what we can do to get felony convictions on Code Pink as well as the city council of Berkeley.
Berkeley city government probably have a hot line to Putin to receive their instructions.
If they couldn't shut down the influence of talk radio, then the only thing left to do was to dismantle conservative talk radio.
I was laughed at then, but it's happening now.

Well I am proud of you for that post of yours
But it started long before you noticed with that post of yours
There has been a concentrated effort to shut down Conservative Talk Radio since it’s inception.
Many posters here at FR are now and have been aware of this liberal agenda for years and have posted about it.
I decided to respond to your cut and paste post as I saw it on several threads.
Thanks for the bump to this thread, pretty good news huh?
