Just when Hillary Clinton started swimming in campaign donations, she could be facing down a hefty fine. This time in the currency of cattle.
Reuters reports that Kenyan elders are considering imposing a fine — traditionally payable in goats, cattle or camels — on the New York senator over the photo that surfaced earlier this week showing rival Barack Obama in traditional robes during his 2006 visit to Kenya. The Web site Drudge Report posted the photo Monday and said it was provided by Clinton staffers.
Though Clinton denied she had anything to do with the photo’s circulation, the Reuters article said Wajir elders would file a complaint with the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi and pursue an investigation.
“We will go ahead with this case whether Sen. Clinton or Democratic Party leaders turn up or not,” Mohamed Ibrahim, a member of the clan that hosted Obama, told Reuters. “But this whole thing can be avoided if only an apology is made.”
Obama’s campaign accused the Clinton camp of fear-mongering when the photo surfaced. Though Obama is a Christian, he has tried to extinguish rumors, stirred by the photo, that he is Muslim.
The two candidates seemed to put the matter to rest at a debate Tuesday night, when Obama said he would take Clinton at her word that she had no involvement with circulating the Drudge photo.
Obama’s father was from Kenya.

I’d bet this kind of stuff happened all the time during the Clinton presidency, but the MSM never covered it. They had an agenda to be maintained.
Okay, I admit that I did not go to Reuters to read the whole story — clicked on Fox, but they wanted me to click for Reuters — but what are they upset about? If the Beast released the photos of BHO without any negative comments, what’s the beef? (Pun intended)
