Barack Obama on the issues
The Conservative Revolution ^ | 3-1-2008 | Brendan Steinhauser

Posted on 03/01/2008 6:34:17 AM PST by bstein80

I recently had a conversation with a good friend of mine about Barack Obama. When he told me that Obama represents “change” and a break with the past, I agreed. I said that Hillary Clinton has been around forever and people are tired of the Clintononian will to power. Many Democrats are embarrassed by their racial comments and attempts to divide minority groups against each other for their own political purposes.

But if Barack Obama is going to change things, shouldn’t we talk about the direction he will take the country if elected? Too many of his enthusiastic, young supporters have no clue what he has voted for or against during his years as a state senator in Illinois or as a United States Senator.

One of the most comprehensive websites for such voting records is OnTheIssues.org

A quick glance at this website shows us that Obama voted against banning partial birth abortion, a most gruesome procedure that is akin to infanticide. He also opposed a bill that would require parental notification for minors that get abortions across state lines.

Obama has voted YES on banning exploration for oil in Alaska. So when he talks about weaning us from our dependence on foreign oil, how serious can he be? If he doesn’t support increasing the domestic supply of oil and gas, how does he expect us to use less foreign energy and keep our own prices down?

“change is good.” Isn’t that what the ads said in the ‘90’s? Doesn’t that explain everything?

Hope and Change. Change and Hope.

What other issues are there?

For those unfamiliar with Saul Alinsky, his writings on radicalism and social change will chill the bones of not only conservatives, but more moderate liberals:

"Any revolutionary CHANGE must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward CHANGE among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and CHANGE the future."

"This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families –- more than seventy million people -– whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]."

And what word comes out of Obama's mouth the most -- why, CHANGE!

Isn’t he also proposing an increase in military troop size?

You should know by now that Democrats VOTE based on FEELINGS. If their candidate makes them FEEL GOOD, speaks well and is charismatic then it really doesn't make any sense for them to care about his policies or his voting record.

Doing so would require THOUGHT and that is an anathema to them.

In their world "Style over Substance" RULES!!

yeah, hope. it's the female side of change. as always, he's got all the bases covered.

speaking of male an female, given that his mother was treated as a boy (even to the point of being named, "Stanley." -- is the US really ready for a President whose mother was named "Stanley?"), she was probably, shall we say, pehaps a little less than feminine, right? Maybe a little domineering? I guess what I'm getting at is this: If you take Stanley into consideration, and you look at (and listen to, if you can bear it) Michelle, do you start to get the impression that Osama is pussywhipped?

I know I do.

And then think about this. We all know his mother had a fascination for, ahem, "black men." If she was anyhting like her own father, she probably tried to make obama a "black man," like her daddy tried to make her a "little boy."

The whole thing is starting to shape up like a 21st century version of the Addams family.

I'm going on record: this guy has major issues. Those are obama's issues: not trade, or terrorism, but issues of the Freudian type.

"“change is good.”"

BHO (pbuh) doesn't want climate change, so apparently ALL change is not good to him. He needs to be challenged on this.

Obama is just another liberal-socialist. He pushes the same old worn out liberalism of class warfare, social engineering and wealth distribution that has build up government and run down America`s greatness for the last 40 years. Obama’s rhetoric of change along with his cool demeanor can’t hide the fact that Obama is nothing but a political lightweight, an empty suit and a demagogue.

Heard Rush say (or maybe it was in one of his parodies) something along the lines of:

Obama: Making Jimmy Carter look competent!

God help US if this man ever becomes President. He is a Marxist to the core.

Obama = Carter on steroids

While Carter was truly one of the worst presidents of this century, he was in no way a charismatic person. Obama has spawned a literal religion of worshiping followers.

Imagine Carter as a cult leader... that is Obama.

I think you may be on to something here. He may have plenty of “issues”. Add to this the bizarre Larry Sinclair stuff and we may have one weird socialist.

What is really needed is a change from the 40 years of liberalism that is destroying this country.
