I can’t believe that McCain can defeat the kind of teflon that Obama will offer.

Here's another problem we have if Barry O implodes in November: We'll never have any kind of racial reconciliation in this country. All whites will be blamed for killing the false hope of Obama.

It's far better that one of two other things happen-either he falls flat on his face after half a term (and we get Republicans elected to Congress in droves), or better yet, Hillary steals the nomination from him in Denver.

John McCain has the luxury of being able to see how that convention goes, and can pick a running mate accordingly. If Hillary is still kicking and screaming by that time, she either steals the nomination, or her feminazi fan base goes ballistic. I've already seen it on the non-partisan blogs, they really threaten to vote for McCain if Obama gets the nod. Of course, if they have several months to calm down, they will (look what's happened with McCain here at FR the last few weeks), but they'll be mad as wet hens if her dirty tricks don't work.

McCain can nominate a woman as VP, or if Hillary's the nominee, he can nominate a black man. Either case lets him deal with the ire of the losing side, provided it's still glowing red-hot after Denver.

That is a good argument for McCain picking a black running mate. If Obama goes down, the Republicans will still have elevated a black to the #2 position, which would deflect charges of racism and election stealing (a little). Only thing is, who would he pick? J.C. Watts apparently is not interested. And I heard Bill Bennett make a valid comment disqualifying Michael Steele: "he is not a winner, yet", having lost his Senate bid. So, he has only been as high as Lt. Guv.

However, Obama is little more than a state legislator and freshman Senator, so I personally do not think Steele should be disqualified because he has only been Lt. Guv. I think he would be a good pick.
