As a black woman commented when this was posted on a local community webforum in my town, the values talked about here have nothing to do with being white, or being male. She also didn’t see where anger entered into it. Gotta agree with her. It seems to me what the writer is talking about (and trying to disrespect) is Americans in general.

The "Angry white male" was a media invention of the early '90's. It was used to explain away the 'rat collapse in 1994. Trouble was, white males as a total aggregate are the most law-abiding and least violent demographic in the US. But that inconvenient truth never made it to the editorial pages.
