Motorcyclists are already treated as second class citizens by the general motoring public. In thirty five years of riding I’ve gathered enough anecdotal evidence firsthand supporting this conclusion to write a book. Cellphone addled teenage-twenty somethings are by far the worst offenders today. They’re oblivious to the world around them.
On average, I experience one Really Close Call a year by thoughtless and inattentive drivers compromising my safety. The ensuing rush of adrenaline morphs the fear of physical harm into anger. In the past I have chased down offending drivers in order to share a word or two.
Best to just suck it up and shake it off, lest you meet up with a nutbar like this . . .
