Democratic Base Fissures
Although attention has been focused on McCain's problems with the GOP base, there are indications that some Democrats might defect if Obama is the party's nominee. Overall, 20% of white Democratic voters say they would vote for McCain if Obama is the Democratic nominee. That is twice the percentage of white Democrats who say they would support McCain in a Clinton-McCain matchup. Older Democrats (ages 65 and older), lower-income and less educated Democrats also would support McCain at higher levels if Obama rather than Clinton is the party's nominee.

Thank you. LOL, I can’t remember what I said. :)
I handle the McCain List. Welcome aboard!
While people should decide on the issues, my experience in Chicago tells me there a many many union Democrats who are deeply racist. I never heard such nasty racist talk until I moved to Chicago from small-town Western (Republican) Michigan and worked among blue-collar Chicago Dems. Nasty, nast, nasty. Never heard Republicans talk like that.
That is nonsense. It will never happen.
lol...good try....but I’m afraid youre gonna be on the “PC Watch List” for a long, long time........and just to be safe...u might want to invest in a remote start vehicle...u know..for those winter mornings when Global Warming is on sabbatical in Kyoto..
My opinion is I don’t give a damn why he loses, as long as he loses.
If its because of democrats not voting for him because he is black, well so be it.
I am calling BS on this poll - at least on the head to head portion (Not saying the DEM defection rate can’t be right).
They undersampled Republicans, which if I am correct only make up 28.65% of their RV sample, while Democrats make up 38.55% (which is close to what I’d expect).
So they undersampled Republicans and oversampled independents.
But it’s not racist if blacks vote well over 90% for Hussein because he is black? Give me a break.
What is the weather underground?
Yes, but then again blacks have voted 90% or more for all the various white Democratic nominees in memory. Blacks have also voted for white Democrats over black Republicans- Michael Steele's failed candidacy in Maryland is a good example, meanwhile a large proportion of white Democrats would rather vote for a white Republican than a black Democrat. It makes you think, doesn't it?
I think Obama is far more calculating than Hillary. He got where he is by dirty politics. His goes on behind the scenes, though, where Hillary is more out in the open. Obama’s brand of dirty politics is more dangerous. He looks good while he forces Hillary’s hand and makes her look like a nagging shrew. Something that everyone hates. He will do the same thing to McCain. He will make him look like a grumpy old man without ever having to say it. I have heard rumors that there was some pretty serious threats against some of the black delegates to switch to Obama. I really think Obama plays very dirty.
How can you guarantee that? Another thing, McCain is prolife if that is important to you. Hillary is strictly prochoice and Obama is proinfanticide.
I wouldn’t have a bit of a problem voting for a black person if he/she was a good conservative. Give me Lynn Swan or JC Watts or Jessee Lee Peterson and I would proudly vote for any of those fine men. I just wish Dr. Walter Williams had a mind to be president.
Not wanting to vote for a race hustler doesn’t make soeone a racist. Obama’s a race hustler like Sharpton, only he’s smoother.
