You claimed that the U.S. didn't have MAD as a military doctrine since 1945; that's not a belief, that's a lack of education.

I did not say any such thing. I said that MAD was no longer applicable in the age of terror, since Sept 11 2001. In this age of asymmetric warfare MAD has no application. To so claim is to be utterly delusional and completely out of touch with the facts, something clearly you seem to embrace since you attach little personal attacks with your silly utterances. Answer me this: If New York City is taken out by a nuke that was placed in the city (IOW not one fired via missile or bomber from off our native soil) just whom are we going to obliterate with the application of MAD? Terrorist groups like AQ and Hezbollah and Hamas have cells right here in our own country? Are we going to nuke MIAMI to get even for New York? Recent studies conclude that 3 out of 5 of all mosques currently in operation in this country preach hate and jihad and actively seek recruits to destroy this country. How are you going to apply MAD to that?

Neither did I say that the Rapture was here. I said that it was imminent and that has been a teaching of the Bible ever since Jesus ascended into Heaven the first time. The fact that every major nexus of time (The dawning era of each new century and each new millennium) has linked that era to the Second Coming does not exclude the prophetic signs that have been fulfilled in THIS moment of time.

Your assertion that not ALL of the lands due to Israel have yet been acquired is not a reason I've ever heard and I do a lot of reading on this subject so I can only reason it is a personally held assumption and I don't dispute that because who am I to KNOW. Whereas you folks seem to KNOW everything and aggressively attack anybody at odds with your viewpoints.

Speaking as a professional award winning educator and as a teacher of psychology (for about 20 years) I can OBSERVE that your fear seems acute and that you feel you must destroy any viewpoint at odds with that or your FEAR may well over come you.

Look, if I'm wrong what have I lost? Nothing. Jesus Christ is still my Lord and Savior. If I'm right, what have I won? Nothing except the fulfillment of a desire to be with the Lord without having to endure the deprivations of the process of physical death, something with which I have a great deal of experience and little fear.

The U.S. has MAD. The U.S. has stealth, anti-missiles, missile defenses, anti-satellite munitions, and enough firepower to depopulate this planet.

ROFLMAO! That may have been true while Ronald Reagan was President but with the various START and SALT treaties along with 8 yrs of the Clinton regime that is no longer the case. I was one of the thousands of military officers forced from the reserves and off active duty in the great RIF (Reduction in Force) of the mid 1990s. Count the numbers of active duty divisions that were decommissioned. My own beloved 9th ID from Fort Lewis was one of them. Count the numbers of air wings and carrier groups that were decommissioned. Another way to see this is to look at the number of BASE CLOSURES and the realignments of force structure. One of the missions my own outfit was charged with at the 9th was to act as a Quick Reaction Force for the Umatilla Chemical Storage Depot in Umatilla Oregon. Fort Lewis was an easy chopper flight north in Tacoma WA. That mission was ended when the stores of VX and other chemical agents (the army sent me to the Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Warfare School for this, along with many other officers) were destroyed according to the edicts of one of the START or SALT agreements.

Even if we wanted to use VX as a first strike or even retaliatory strike weapon, I doubt we could given the destruction of supplies. Also, by what I learned at the NBC school (Southhack, do you have an education in tactical employment and defense from chemical weapons? I DO & I'm a published author on the subject) Chemical and biological weapons are more the tools of the terrorist. We concentrated on nukes both tactical and strategic.

The likelihood that any terrorist group is going to just whip together a nuclear device even with the fissile material available is extremely remote. However the tango's have lots of cash available and it's only a matter of time until they lay hands on a tactical nuke from a cash poor but hardware rich country like the former USSR. One reason Putin is trying to cobble back together that empire.

The GLOBALIST politicians in charge of this dying nation (this assertion will be put to the test in the next Presidential election) tried to destroy our capability to wage conventional war because they didn't want us to be able to enter any land conflict unless we had to holler for help to the UN or rely on a UN creature, NATO, for aid. In large part they were successful. Yes, we still have a potent and accurate nuclear punch. But what good does this do us? We'll never use it. Further to capitalize on the use of even a theater size tactical nuke you have to have the ground forces capable of seizing the terrain and holding it. We can't even do that because of the downsizing of the military. Military leaders are constantly complaining about how thin our forces have become.

Yes we're LEAN AND MEAN and we still hold some notable advantages over the armed forces of other nations. For one: We teach leadership down to the lowest ranks. If the unit gets wiped out down to a pfc and a pvt, that pfc knows how to take command and finish the mission. In addition our guys are possibly the best trained of all nations. The final area where we have a distinct strength is in the area of special operations. Americans as a people have a global reputation for the ability to think outside the box and to arrive at novel solutions. That is a singular strength of Special Ops.

We have no peers. Thus, it's nowhere near time for Armegeddon. Satan needs a more balanced world; not a world where one superpower can press a button and ruin his plans with the might of mere mortal men.

Just who do you think does the bidding of Satan? Mere mortal men who lust for many things, but chief among them is the lust for the raw POWER Satan has always claimed he is able to bestow. He tried this when Christ wandered the wilderness but was unsuccessful. He has always had much more success when his target is a poor sinner, lost without Christ. A single superpower that he controls? That's just the ticket for the rise of AntiChrist. If you'd like to see the types of men and women eager to sell their souls for a seat at the table of power just write to the Council on Foreign Relations at their New York City address and ask them for a copy of their annual report. At the end of that report is a list of invited members of the council. Those are the richest and most influential members of our society that are eager to subvert the country and establish the NWO.

Wanna know how close this is? The fact that I've spent the length of this essay arguing with you knuckleheads when your facts are spotty and you twist my words into things I never said is a sure indication that the spirit of Satan moves amongst you. You see, Brother Christians would never have spent the time and sheer vitriol that you did in your attacks on me. Real Christians would have respected my views and simply agreed to disagree.

"But according to US military doctrine formed in 1945, that is something we will NEVER do..."

Spoken like someone who doesn't know MAD is our military doctrine.

"Real Christians would have respected my views and simply agreed to disagree."

You aren't speaking "views," you are speaking nonsense. You weren't even aware of MAD as our official military doctrine!

You are clueless. Uneducated. And you are so *arrogant* that you think that you are important-enough to be living in End Times.

Give it up.

Utter nonsense.

For one thing, we've used nukes in the past. History repeats itself, and we've got nukes today and will have them in the future.

For another thing, we are already holding ground. You just aren't capable of grasping where and how.

You need to go back to school because wherever you went didn't soak in.

~SIGH~ There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT SEE. Lord, forgive them. One thing I've discovered in my life is that after banging your head against a wall (such as arguing with idiots like you) is that it feels so good to stop.

We're holding ground in countries where the population wants us to remain, like Europe and the NATO group. But if they didn't want us and our money it'd be nothing to eject us whether or not we agreed. I've spent time in Europe as a military officer. Did YOU serve, btw?

We can't even hold the ground of our own southern borders. See, jackass, to "hold ground" requires political will before it requires military strength.

I think you'd fail all of the many classes I teach. I'm good enough to be recognized by the faculty of my school (over 200) as a Teacher of the Year. And that was the same year as the 9-11 attacks. I've only gotten better. Do YOU teach? Or do you just pontificate on matters with which you have no personal experience? I now cease my argument with nonsensical jackasses.

I’ve always thought it was pretty egotistical of us to believe that were the last generation. Hasn’t ever generation thought they were the last?
