Obama's mom: Not just a girl from Kansas
Chicago Tribune ^ | March 27, 2007 | Tim Jones

Chip Wall can't help but zero in on the little stuff whenever he watches Barack Obama on TV.

It's his old pal Stanley.

For Wall and a few dozen others, Obama on the campaign trail often brings to mind Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama's mother and a strong-willed, unconventional member of the Mercer Island High School graduating class of 1960.

"She was not a standard-issue girl of her times...

"She touted herself as an atheist, and it was something she'd read about and could argue,"

the only child was a ... daughter of a father who wanted a boy so badly that he named her Stanley -- after himself.

Stanley Ann Dunham's formative years, spent not on the Great Plains but more than 1,800 miles away on a small island in the Pacific Northwest.

Stanley Dunham died in 1992, and the Obama campaign declined to make Madelyn Dunham, 84, available.

In 1955, the chairman of the Mercer Island school board, John Stenhouse, testified before the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party.

The marriage failed. Stanley Ann filed for divorce in 1964 and remarried two years later, when her son was 5. The senior Obama finished his work at Harvard and returned to Kenya, where he hoped to realize his big dreams of taking a place in the Kenyan government.

Years later, Abercrombie and another grad school friend looked up their old pal during a trip through Africa.

At that point, the senior Obama was a bitter man, according to the congressman, feeling that he had been denied due opportunities to influence the running of his country. "He was drinking too much; his frustration was apparent," .

To Abercrombie's surprise, Obama never asked about his ex-wife or his son.

The picture of a black man burning himself with lighters in order to make his skin white shouldn’t be that difficult to trace if it was published in a magazine.

I think that was "lighteners", not "lighters".

BTW... I’ve been doing some research and so far I haven’t
found one report of a black man lighting himself on fire
during the time period 1969 to 1971.

Still hunting.

Thanks.

One guy over there thought this idea was so funny and he laughed so loud that he awoke his daughter.

8-)

I totally agree that people should not get so focused on Obama’s family to the point that they neglect highlighting his current radicalism. I just don’t want him to become the only candidate in history for whom it is mysteriously taboo to even mention his roots.

Obama is so phony to the point of being boring. I'd rather focus on Osama, as he has been a bit more of a secretive type over the last few years. ;)

Sing it, Ted!

From # 77 :

Yet no such Life issue exists, according to historians at the magazine. No such photos, no such article. When asked about the discrepancy, Obama said in a recent interview, “It might have been an Ebony or it might have been ... who knows what it was?” (At the request of the Tribune, archivists at Ebony searched their catalogue of past articles, none of which matched what Obama recalled.)

In fact, it is surprising, based on interviews with more than two dozen people who knew Obama during his nearly four years in Indonesia, that it would take a photograph in a magazine to make him conscious of the fact that some people might treat him differently in part because of the color of his skin. “

****The senior Obama finished his work at Harvard and returned to Kenya, where he hoped to realize his big dreams of taking a place in the Kenyan government.****

So the US is Obama’s second choice? He is bamboozling way too many people and hopefully he’s exposed before it’s too late.

Here are a couple of sites that are continuing to monitor the Larry Sinclair (Barack Hussein Obama’s homosexual lover and cocaine buddy) situation:

To be precise, she was reportedly born in 1922 and is therefore 85 or 86.

Still hunting...methinks you're wasting your time, the muslim arab masquerading as an african-american is evidently mentally disturbed, and habitual lying is just one of the many symptoms...who knows how the years in a muslim school in Indonesia traumatized him as a child.

He's got to be somewhat schizophrenic. First he thinks he's muslim/Indonesian, with an Indonesian name, then suddenly he's in a white household in Hawaii...his black father visits him once, and bingo...now he's black and Kenyan. He has issues with a mother whom he believes abandoned him to the care of his grandparents, those white folk ...my goodness, the man needs to see a psychiatrist, not run for office.

He's a bundle of contradictions because he's an empty vessel that someone (the chicago arab mafia?) his wife, George Soros saw as useful, poured their slime into and Bingo! CHANGE!

CHANGE? that's nothing but a code-word for revolution. The blue-print comes from the events in Kenya.

I do not believe for a moment that her father resented having a girl. Stanley is an interesting name for a woman born in the cusp of the women’s movement.

Well if that's the case, he could have given her a really 'manly' name --- John, Mark, Max, Conrad, even Engelbert. But he picked his own name.

That's ego. He wanted to pass his name on and didn't give a damn what that ego trip would impose of the kid. That sucks and IMHO, he should have never had kids.
