I just got word that Harry Reid's attempt to shove through a change in the bankruptcy code to allow "cram-downs" of mortgages has failed. He tried to bring it up under suspension of the rules and that required a cloture vote. Reid only got 48 votes, far short of the 60 needed.
This was yet another attempted giveaway to the trial lawyers. The legislation would have voided any lender claim in a bankruptcy if the loan documents contained even a minor technical violation of any federal or state law.
Isn't EVERY day a bad day when you are a loser like Dingy Harry.......?
What an embarrassment.............Mitch McConnell must wake up every day and thank God for Harry Reid.
