WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has asked for a grand jury investigation into whether White House chief of staff Josh Bolten and former counsel Harriet Miers should be prosecuted for contempt of Congress.
Pelosi is demanding that misdemeanor charges be pursued against Miers for refusing to testify to Congress about the 2006 firings of federal prosecutors, and against Bolten for failing to turn over White House documents related to the purge.

Contempt of congress? Isn’t that about 78% of the population?
I hope that they investigate these aides and maybe a couple dozen more over the course of the year. I urge these “leaders” to engage in massive investigations of the executive branch and not to relent. The more time they waste on these kinds of things the less time they spend doing real damage to the country by passing legislation.
Contempt of congress shouldn’t be a crime; it’s a duty.
Our side is the side that gets sand kicked in its face by a bully on the beach and then, instead of taking the Charles Atlas course and getting stronger, apologizes. Meanwhile, my checkbook remains closed and unopened mailings from the RNC continue to fill up my trash can.
When I first scrolled to this posting there was a picture of Waxman. I clicked something and it disappeared. I checked source and pasted image source into browser and there was Waxman.
I can’t find anything blocked and other images show.
Anyone seen anything like that before?
Finally, an Attorney General who is not afraid of Democrat intimidation.
