Correct, as usual. What man in his right mind wants to marry a 40 something looser woman. People make choices, right and wrong, they shouldn’t snivel when they make the wrong one.

It's about time a female Freeper came up with a graphic like that!

The reality of the radical feminist movement. Empty beds, empty homes, empty hearts, empty wombs.
A gnawing loneliness and despair.
Sad. Depressing.

And every year they can think about the would be birthday of the children they aborted, how old they would be and what they would be doing now.

Several young women tell me they at first liked the trend toward marrying late, but they never thought it would mean never marrying at all.

Why didn't they?

NOBODY is pickier than women in NYC, which is why so many grow into being bitter old harridans once out of their prime.

Its important to have standards, but it is just as important to be realistic.

when career minded women hit their late 30s and begin looking to settle down, they find out that it's not their decision.

I was single from age 43-46. I dated a lot in this demographic.

These are (collectively) the least appealing females on the planet, and unless you get really, really lucky you should NEVER EVEN CONSIDER marrying one.

As an evangelist said years ago:

"When God wants to bless you, he sends a woman into your life. When the devil wants to ruin you, he sends a woman into your life." ;-)

I think a sweeping generalization based on bitterness is unappealing, but maybe that's just me.

Sorry your experience was bad. But not all of us in that age group are. Just as I know not all men in my age group are 35 year old 18 year olds looking to get drunk and laid every weekend-— still live with their parents.

Much as I love to project the image of being a "player" (I know), I am closer to the "plain old men" that you describe. The Sluts in the City Types think that they can land a combination of James Bond, Michael Milliken (pre indictment), and John Holmes.

Unfortunatly, I am not attracted to "plain old women" (motherly domestic types) either, so I'm one to talk...

Moral: It's a good idea to read the From: label on every package you receive.

I want to marry someday, and I am a good and decent, prosperous man in my 40's.

Unfortunately, I am hideous to look at.

My HS sweetheart still keeps one of my paintings in her kitchen. She married a guy she met in college :(

But it is still a love story.

You guys sound like bitter, damaged goods.

I'm bitter, damaged goods.

I like my women like I like my coffee: Cold and bitter.

The author would have been a femal dog

Is a femal dog a little like a feral dog?

They do lament about the lack of good men but then, why did their type give me the brush off 15 years ago.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

the men in their late 30s have decided they’re going to be bachelors.

...and are chasing 22-year-olds.

LOL. Cold and bitter can be exciting - for a weekend or so. For a lifetime? Not sure.

They’re not picky, they just have an image of themselves landing the wealthy, good looking guy with impeccable manners and possessed of a massive intelligence.

Comes from over-estimating their own:

A)Looks
B)Sexual value
C)Background
