I could be convinced to go along with that.
McCain can prove that the NYT times are a bunch of idiots, once again.
Even with McCain, it is questionable whether there is a Republican candidate.
(a) Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States.
(b) Any person born in the Republic of Panama on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States employed by the Government of the United States or by the Panama Railroad Company, or its successor in title, is declared to be a citizen of the United States.
OMG.
His father and grandfather were both Admirals. I assume that means they were American citizens...Doesn’t matter where one is born if one’s parent/s is an American citizen.
Didn't have to be as he was a "Natural Born Citizen".
John SIDNEY McCain!
(I wonder if his middle name offends anyone?)
If the NYT is so desperate that they keep recycling an old, debunked story, I guess they soon will just put out yesterday’s papers on the newsstands and not bother to print new news at all. Or maybe the problem is that they can’t afford to pay enough journalists so they will soon just copy and paste articles from the past for the next edition!
Someone tried to use this claim against George Romney back in 1968. Not USA born.
No, they are just beginning the death of a thousand cuts against McCain as they did Dole. Little bits and pieces will stick. One person will remember the influence peddling, another will remember he might be cheating to get in. By the time the election rolls around, McCain will be corrupt/stupid/ineligible in enough people’s minds to remove any chance he has of pulling a miracle and winning.
Really! My father was American; my mother Canadian when I was born in a military hospital in Newfoundland. I am an American citizen as much as any natural born citizen. This is such a bunch of bunk where McCain is concerned. He was born to American parents on foreign soil, whose father was in service to this nation—he’s American! Period!
“Good to see them desperate so early.”
Excellent point!
You got that right!
Because McCain is so much like a dem, we should do anything we can to take this nomination away from him. Steal it, whatever we can at the convention to stop him.
The Jerk !
The Jayson Blair Times must really be starting to get nervous that their boy/girl is going to lose if they’re trotting out stuff like this already!
Interesting about the RR company. History is there that I’m not aware of.
What WONDERFUL news!
McCain can be our first Hispanic president!!!
Thanks, NYT!
Where was Barak Hussein Obama born?
