Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
Anima eius, et animæ omnium fidelium defunctorum, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.

A hero on my youth. Still have a Buckley for Mayor poster on the wall in our game room. Well done Bill. Say hello for us to Ronnie and Barry.

NYT reporting that William F Buckley has diedFunny about this; this is the way Bloomberg reported it this am: "Wm F Buckley has died, NYT reports."
I mean, why qualify the headline? Do they doubt the NYT? Wouldn't they normally just check the source, run the headline "Wm. F. Buckley has Died" and then byline the story NYT?
I find this trival thing a bit odd. Noted.

I didn’t really give it much thought. I knew I wasn’t going to excerpt anything so I typed out the source and news in the headline.
