Johnny Depp, George Soros, Warren Buffet, Ted Turner(UN Supporter, we know that's anti-American) what's the difference, they all won't voluntary pay taxes they can weasel out of.

Is Wisconsin, Milwaukee anywhere near Milwaukee, Wisconsin? That’s what’s great about New York, New York... You never have to remember which one goes first.

Unbelievable the amount of ink spilled by the state’s media shamelessly slobbering all over themselves begging and pleading for Johnny Depp come here and film. It demonstrated a type of celebrity cult worship. It was both pathetic and disgusting. It was also done by the same media who scream bloody murder about corporate welfare.

They should insist on no tax breaks. Then film the movie in Canada, like many others who can’t stand the U.S. tax burden.

Okay, you're obviously not understanding what Wisconsin is doing here.
This isn't a tax break for rich liberals, it's a tax break intended to draw corporate investment. The film company gets tax incentives for pumping x amount of money into the local economy.
Instead of complaining, we ought to be celebrating any time when a state reduces taxes on those who invest in their state's economy.

Movies being shot in your town is a really good thing for the local economy. Really. They spend alot of money to house, feed, wire, light, etc. the sets. So the tax credit really roles into generating alot of jobs.
Pittsburgh actually has a Film Office and they actively recruit movie/TV shoots here. Its cheaper for the film companies to create NYC in Pittsburgh than it is to shoot in NYC. And once your area builds up a list of Union filmworkers more shoots then come (and more money for the economy.) Hey, maybe you'll get hired on as an 'extra.'

Not really the point of the article, but isn’t a Michael Mann directed movie staring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale can’t miss?
