It was a very politically astute move for McCain to distance himself from the remarks. It’s one thing for a speaker to make the remarks at a rally when the candidate himself isn’t there, but if s/he is and doesn’t repudiate the remarks, it’s as if he himself made them.
By distancing himself, McCain takes the high road, and his attacks on Obama will be all the more powerful, based experience, issue and policy. Personal remarks would make him look small and petty like Obama’s opponent heretofore. Those disenchanted with that Obama opponent will look more favorably upon McCain after she drops out.

Obama Slammed by Speakers at McCain rally1. What was Obama doing at a McCain rally?
2. Were his ears injured by the speakers?
3. Was he slammed by woofers or by tweeters?

You can waste your vote for McCain.....then again you could write in Don Quixote’s name. Both have an equall chance of beating Obama.

Great point! We keep being told that we have to vote for McCain to keep Obama from winning, and to make their point they unleash a verbal tirade against the wickedness of Obama. McCain may show up here at FR and order his followers to apologize.

Was this supposed to be McCain’s Sistah Souljah (or whatever) moment? If so, it’s lame. The guy said nothing out of line, for Obama himself has indicated that he’d sit down with any of those maniacal dictators without any pre-conditions.

Is it gutter politics to call someone by their middle name?? This has got to be a first in modern politics !!

Yea, I was gonna post Shhhhhhh, wait until Obama is anointed, to one of the posts...then 2...then 3...
Oh well, there will be plenty more when he gets the nod...or the Arkancide, and if the latter it'll be crickets.

We aren’t supposed to know that Obama’s daddy was a Muslim and that he went to Islamic schools. It is a secret, shh!
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
McCain says he will ‘absolutely repudiate’ comments by an introductory speaker who says Obama sympathizes with ‘world leaders who want to kill us.’
I know why we need to vote for him in the general election, but, remind me again...and again...and again.

I didn't vote for Perot but why do you think George Bush, who lied about taxes, jumped up spending, messed up the end of the Iraq war, supported gun control, and gave us the Americans for Disabilities act was a better choice? In any case, if you enjoy the act of wasting your vote on a guaranteed loser, knock yourself out.
The parallel with 1992 won't wash, of course. Unlike Clinton that year, Obama will not only win a majority but a substantial majority. The McCainiacs will have no one, not even another Perot, to blame for their massive defeat.

But gutter politics is so much more entertaining. That's true, however, I'd prefer the dims entertain me and the GOP wins the elections
