My husband and I are raising 7 Conservatives; they are our future. I've never bought the "being fair to the child thing" and I'm glad my parents didn't buy into it. ; )
Plus I am selfish and lazy and like kids only marginally.
That is a reason not to have kids. Hats off to you for recognizing/admitting it. Too many are having babies who shouldn't and then they do really asinine things like play video games while the baby starves to death.

We made that decision in the early 60s.
We could see the cesspool this nation was headed for only expected the current situation to develop sooner.
