The Left has ALWAYS used the mantra “the ends justifies the means.” Like any totalitarians, violence is their M.O. They get a weird, sexual pleasure from it. Most of the “entertainment” industry are LWers, which will explain the violence combined with sex movies. They are putting THEIR weird fantasies on screen. Can you wonder why no one goes to films anymore? These people really hate women, and they put their violent attitudes toward them on screen. If you ever talk with LWers all they can talk about is sex, but not in any normal way. It is ALWAYS combined with violence. It’s ALWAYS about rape with them. They were the same when the were anit-war during the Vietnam War. They STILL don’t get it why most of the women left the “movement.”
When you say modus operandi, it makes it sound as though the violence is the means to some other end.
But that's what I suddenly realized, very recently - the violence isn't the means to an end - the violence is the end.

Their misogynistic take on sex perhaps explains, in part, their tolerance and even approval of barbaric Islamists.
Another great point. I was there in the sixties, and well remember the ugly sexist attitudes among New Left men toward the "chicks" and "old ladies". My sister is one of those who became disaffected from "the movement". She still gets furious about it.
