Whats wrong with the photo? He wore traditional garb while visiting, so what? I wore wooden shoes once, doesnt make me Dutch.
Exactly! Politicians often wear "traditional" clothing of countries they are visiting, look at the recent pictures of Bush out of Africa. I'm not an Obama supporter, but I hardly think this picture proves he is a Muslim.
Also, I think we, as a country, should be careful before we go down this path of "He's a Muslim" etc...because while radical Muslim extremists blew up the twin towers and the pentagon, our constitution still guarantees everyone the freedom to practice whatever religion they like and I always feel uncomfortable whenever someone is attacked for his/her faith. I didn't like it when they did it to GW, I didn't like it when people did it with Romney, not a big fan of Huckabee's throwing religion about like a ball....etc...
It's one thing if a candidate actively participates in terrorist activities (i.e. goes to a mosque that is known to support terrorism, sends money to groups that front for terrorists, etc.), but wearing traditional garb while visiting a country? That doesn't hardly rise to the dramatic level of declaring him a terrorist. (In reality, I think more harm comes from the separationist positions of the Christian church he's attended for the past ____ years.)I just hope this election doesn't boil down to who practices the religion that looks most like mine. It has been a really weird year with the issues, etc., peoploe choose to vote on.
